All representatives qualified for the County Final in The Templemore Arms, where the Ballad Group and Musicians won county honours. The Music Group was much changed, now consisting of Ruairi Floyd, Sarah McAuliffe and Michael Ryan, but they were still good enough to get the verdict.
Both groups participated in the Munster Final in Our Lady's Templemore. The Inst Music group, consisting of Ruairi Floyd, Niamh Floyd, Michael Ryan, Sarah McAuliffe and Aine O'Malley, had to give best to their Cork counterparts. However the Ballad Group emulated the feat of the Scór na nÓg group in winning Munster honours. Tim Floyd was overseas for the provincial and his place was taken by Teresa Galvin. The group performed brilliantly at the All Ireland final in Derry, but they had to give best to the Roscommon group.
