Congratulations
Congratulations to Betty Ryan, Cully who won €3,000 in the Tipperary GAA Members Draw for February and to Donnachadh Floyd who won €200 in the same draw.

Nine Year Decline!
In 2003, Newport won the County Under 12 'B' Football title. 9 years later, as Under 21's, they failed at the first hurdle when Ballinahinch proved too strong in the opening round of the North Under 21 'B' Football. Last Saturday's game was a disappointing affair, with few of the 'established' players showing the expected leadership against a much more enthusiastic and fired-up Ballinahinch outfit.

Fundraising Night
Newport G.A.A. will be holding a fundraising event on 17th March in the Freigh Inn.  Admission is €10. Throw in is at 9:30p.m. and a very entertaining night is guaranteed for all who support. You will see members of the club as you have never seen them before.  The very successful 'Abba' and the ever popular Mrs. Brown will be paying a visit on the night. These are just a few of the treats in store. Make sure to put this date in your diary!!
Also on the night there will be a draw and tickets are now on sale from committee members and players. For just €5 you could win either a 42 inch Plasma TV or a weekend away at any Clarion Hotel to the value of €250. We would ask anyone who has tickets to make a major effort to sell them as it is a fundraiser for the club. Fundraisers like this are very important in order to help maintain the good facilities we have for our players and supporters.
