Faoi 21’s: Well done to our Under 21B Hurlers who had a hard-fought win over Portroe in Round 2 of the North Championship on Sunday on a score line of 1-13 to 0-15.

Faoi 17’s: Hard luck to our Under 17A Footballers who were beaten by Ballina in the North Football Final by 2-08 to 1-07 on Saturday. They now progress to the County Quarter Finals where they will play the winners of the West Championship.

Scór Sinsir: Both our Nuachleas ( Novelty Act ) and Bailéad-Ghrúpa (Ballad Group) acts can be very proud of their performances at the All Ireland Finals of the Senior Scor on Saturday, even if they did not win ultimate honours. The groups were as follows:
Novelty Act: Tom McCabe, Cathriona O’Brien, Lil O’Grady, Paraic Kennedy, Carol O’Hora, John Tuohey & Padraig Kennedy and produced by Mary Browne.
Ballad Group :  Paraic Kennedy, Anthony Floyd, Teresa Galvin, Siobhan Egan & Michelle Tuohey.
We would also like to thank all the supporters who travelled to Castlebar on Saturday.


Faoi 21’s: Hard luck to our Under 21B Hurlers who lost out to Burgess in Round 1 of the North Championship on Sunday on a score line of 0-12 to 0-9. They are due to play their Round 2 match v Portroe in Lacken Park on Sunday @ 12:00 noon. 

 

Faoi 14’s The under 14’s had a very exciting game in the North Hurling Plate competition v Burgess on Sunday morning which finished level. They are due to play Ballina in Round 2 on Sunday.

Coiste na nÓg: The Juvenile Club would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed to their recent Church Gate Collection. The total raised was €789.39.

Faoi 14’s Congratulations to our Under 14 hurlers who won the Na Piarsaigh Tournament on Sunday recording good wins over Monaleen, Ballybrown  & Na Piarsaigh. We would like to thank Na Piarsaigh Club for the invite and for their hospitality on the day. It was really appreciated.

ComhbhrónCLG Tulach Sheasta wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Eileen, John, Tim, Michael, Siobhan, Helen and the extended Coffey family on the recent passing of Michael. He was a lifetime supporter of both Newport & Tipperary GAA. Michael also wore the Mulcaire Rovers jersey during the 1950’s and acted as a selector. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Faoi 21’s: We would like to wish our Under 21B Hurlers the very best of luck in the 1st round of the North Championship v Burgess in Kilcolman on Sunday @ 12:00 noon. 

Faoi 17’s: Well, done to our Under 17A Footballers who had a hard-fought win over Nenagh Eire Óg in the North Championship on Sunday in Lacken Park on a scoreline of 2-07 to 0-12.

Faoi 12’s: Congratulations to both our Under 12 A & D Hurling Teams who won their North Plate Finals v Roscrea on Sunday morning. This ends their competitive action for the year. We would like to thank manager Michael Coffey, his mentors, and the players for all the work they put in this year. We would also like to sincerely thank the parents for bringing their children to their training sessions & matches. It is really appreciated. Training will continue each Tuesday & Friday evening.  See pictures of the teams below.

Faoi 12’s: We wish both of our Under 12 A & D Hurling Teams the very best of luck in their North Finals v Roscrea on Sunday morning. Please check our Facebook page for confirmation of time & venue. 

Ádh Mór: We would like to wish Conor Floyd the very best of luck as he lines out for the TG4 Underdogs Team v the reigning Allianz National Hurling Champions, Waterford on Saturday evening in the SETU Arena, Waterford @ 7:00 PM.

Scór Sinsir : Tulach Sheasta had a very successful evening in the Munster Final of Scór on Sunday night in Cappamore, winning both the Novelty Act and Ballad Group competitions. We would also like to congratulate our Instrumental Music Group and Siobhan Egan in the Solo Singing Competition who represented the club with excellent performances. The groups were as follows, with pictures below:

Novelty Act: Tom McCabe, Cathriona O’Brien, Lil O’Grady, Paraic Kennedy, Carol O’Hora, John Tuohey & Padraig Kennedy and produced by Mary Browne.
Ballad Group :  Paraic Kennedy, Anthony Floyd, Teresa Galvin, Siobhan Egan & Michelle Tuohey. Instrumental Music Group: Kevin O’Brien, Emma Clifford and Aaron Pearson.
Solo Singing: Siobhan Egan.  

We would also like to congratulate our fellow Tipperary representatives Noel Joyce, JK Brackens club who won the Recitation Competition and Newcastle who won the Figure Dancing. We wish all our competitors the very best of luck in the All Ireland Finals which take place on Nov 12th in Castlebar.

Faoi 12’s: Our Under 12’s had an early start on Sunday morning travelling to Clarinbridge in Galway with two teams to take part in their Under 12 Blitz. They played teams from Kilmacud Crokes, Doora-Barefield , Clarinbridge & Na Piarsaigh. They played some magnificent hurling despite the weather and really enjoyed their day out. We would like to thank Clarinbridge GAA Club for the invite to the blitz and for their hospitality. Our Under 12’s Group A & D teams are due to play Silvermines on Sunday in Round 2 of The North Plate Hurling Competition in Dolla @ 11:30 AM.

Faoi 11’s: The under 11’s also had an early start on Sunday morning travelling to Craughwell in Galway for their blitz. They had two teams entered playing teams from Kilmacud Crokes, Newmarket on Fergus & Craughwell. The children enjoyed their day's hurling despite the weather and played some excellent hurling. We would like to thank Craughwell GAA Club for the invite to their blitz and for their hospitality.

Faoi 10’s: The Under 10’s had two teams in Lacken Park on Saturday morning where they played teams from Ahane, Monaleen & Clonlara. The children really enjoyed their morning's hurling and put in some excellent performances. We would like to thank Ahane, Monaleen & Clonlara GAA Clubs for travelling. It was really appreciated. 

 Scor Sinsir: We would like to wish all our Clubs representatives the very best of luck in the Munster Final of Senior Scor in Cappamore Community Hall this Sunday evening @ 6:00PM. Faoi 13’s: Our Under 13 team finished their hurling season in impressive style on Saturday by winning the prestigious Liam O Donoghue tournament in Mungret/St Pauls GAA Club.  They played teams from Clonlara GAA Club, Mungret St Paul’s and Charleville GAA.  It was a great day's hurling and we would like to thank Mungret St Paul’s GAA club for the invite to a brilliantly organised tournament and their very kind hospitality shown to our players and parents. 

Faoi 10’s: The Under 10’s travelled to Mungret for a blitz on Friday evening. The teams played some fantastic hurling and enjoyed the evening's hurling. We would like to thank Mungret St. Paul’s GAA Club for the invite and the parents who travelled on Friday evening. 

Faoi 9’s: Two under 9’ teams played Doon on Sunday evening in a blitz in Lacken Park. Both teams played brilliantly in their games. We would like to thank Doon GAA Club for travelling for the matches. 

Faoi 6’s & 7’s: Our under 6’s & 7’s had their final training session of the year on Saturday morning. We hope that all of the children enjoyed their year hurling with the club & look forward to having you all back again next year. We would like to thank the team managers Eamonn McCormack & Dave Hickey and all of their coaches for all the time they put in with this group of players this year.  

Faoi 5’s: The under 5’s travelled to Dolla for a blitz on Saturday morning v the Silvermines. The children really enjoyed their morning’s hurling. We would like to thank Silvermines Club for organising the blitz and the invite. 

Scor Sinsir : Tulach Sheasta had a very successful evening in the County Final of Scor on Saturday evening, being crowned county champions in Novelty Act, Ballad Group, Instrumental Music and Solo Singing. They will now go on to represent Tipperary in the Munster Final of Scor in Cappamore Hall on October 16th. The groups were as follows:

Novelty Act: Tom McCabe, Cathriona O’Brien, Lil O’Grady, Paraic Kennedy, Carol O’Hora, John Tuohey & Padraig Kennedy and produced by Mary Browne.
Ballad Group:  Paraic Kennedy, Anthony Floyd, Teresa Galvin, Siobhan Egan & Michelle Tuohey. Insrumental Music Group: Kevin & Damien O’Brien, Aoife & Eyrn Kennedy and Emma Clifford.
Solo Singing: Siobhan Egan.

Príomh Iomáint Idirmheánach: Congratulations to our Premier Intermediate Hurlers who really dug deep on Saturday afternoon in Dolla to pull off a great win v Kildangan in their Relegation Semi-Final winning out by the narrowest of margins by 0-23 to 3-13. We would like to thank the players for all the work they put in since the start of the year. We would also like to thank our coach Ger Downes and our management team for the time & effort they put in throughout the year. It was really appreciated. 


Faoi 15’s: Hard luck to our Under 15 A hurlers who lost out to Kilruane MacDonaghs in the North Semi Final by 1-11 to 0-11. This ends their interest in this year’s championship. We would like to thank the players, manager Hugh Mc Loughlin and his management team for all the work they put in this year and look forward to better days ahead for this group of players. 


Faoi 11’s: Two Under 11 teams travelled to Holycross-Ballycahill GAA on Saturday to take part in the Bob Stakelum and Martin Ferncombe Cup competitions. They played Newtownshandrum, Boherlahan- Dualla, Arravale Rovers and hosts Hollycross-Ballycahill. The kids really enjoyed the day's hurling. Thanks to Hollycross-Ballycahill for the invite and teas and coffees afterwards.


Faoi 6’s: Our Under 5 & 6’s hosted Moneygall on Saturday morning for a blitz. The children really enjoyed their morning’s hurling. A big thank you to Moneygall for travelling. It was really appreciated.

 

Scór Sinsir : The Senior Scór Co. Final takes place in Newport Community Centre this Saturday evening Oct 1st @  7:00 PM. We would like to wish all our Club representatives the very best of luck.

The club will be represented by Tom McCabe, Cathriona O’Brien, Lil O’Grady, Paraic Kennedy, Carol O’Hora, John Tuohey & Padraig Kennedy in the Comedy Sketch produced by Mary Browne. The Ballad Group consists of Paraic Kennedy, Anthony Floyd, Teresa Galvin, Siobhan Egan & Michelle Tuohey. Kevin & Damien O’Brien, Aoife & Eyrn Kennedy and Emma Clifford are in the Instrumental Music. The Quiz Team includes Rosemary Ryan, Anna O'Riordan, Paraic Kennedy & Tom McGlinchey. Lil O’Grady will be participating in the Recitation and Siobhan Egan will be taking part in the Solo Singing. Please come along to support our representatives in what promises to be a great night’s entertainment.
