Name the Team and Win a Book
You know their faces, but how well do you know their backs?  With the launch of Newport’s GAA History by Uachtarán CLG, John Horan, due on March 15th, we are offering followers the opportunity to win a copy of the book. Name the players in the attached photograph and submit the details to dfloyd@eircom.net not later than 10th March.

Tie break question: Who was the missing Number 15?
If there is more than one correct entry after the tie-break question, the winner will be drawn on the night of the launch.


Minor Football: Hard luck to our Minor Footballers who were beaten in their first match of the championship v Ballinahinch/Templederry in Lacken Park last Sunday. Their next match v Silvermines in Dolla is due to be played this Sunday March 3rd @ 12:00 noon.

Under 14 'B' Féile Hurling: We would like to wish our Under 14 hurlers the best of luck in their North Tipp Under 14 'B' Féile Hurling Quarter Final v Ballinahinch/Templederry this Saturday March 2nd in Shalee @ 3:00 PM.

Under 14 Peil:  Hard luck to our Under 14 footballers who lost their Feile Peil (C)  North Semi Final to Portroe on Saturday. See our facebook page for full match report.

Senior Scór: The County Final of Senior Scór took place in Newport Community Centre last Saturday evening. Well done to our Léiriú (Novelty act) of Tom McCabe, Gavin Ryan, John Tuohey, Carol O'Hora, Cathriona O'Brien, Paraic Kennedy & Terry O'Brien & Producer Mary Browne who won their competition & we wish them the best of luck in the Munster Final which takes place this Saturday March 2nd in City Hall, Cork.

We would also like to thank our Rince Seit (Set dancing) group of Joe Floyd, Marie Tuohey, Dinny Ryan, Siobhan O'Gorman, Noel Galvin, Brid Coffey, Bernie Flynn & Anthony Floyd and our Quiz Team of Anna Riordan, Rosemary Larkin, Pauline Murray & Alfie O'Brien who represented the club on the night.

Scór na bPáistí: We would like to wish Tom McCabe the best of luck in the Scór na bPáistí North 'B' Final Recitation Competition this night in Templederry.

Men on the Move & Women Out Walking are both proving very popular in the Long House Field each Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM as part of our G.A.A.’s Healthy Club initiative.  All are welcome to join us.  This is a free event and is open to all to attend.
