Intermediate Hurling: Our Intermediates will consider themselves very lucky to be still in the county championship after getting out of jail against Gortnahoe-Glengoole in Moneygall last Sunday in the preliminary County Quarter Final. They were playing second place for most of the game until with 5 minutes to go and 3 points down, they salvaged 2 goals and ended up winning by 5 points. A win is a win but they will know that a lot more will be required this Sunday as they take on Kilsheelan-Kilcash in the County Quarter Final at 12pm in Dundrum.
Under 14: On Friday evening last in Lacken Park the U14 Camogie girls took on the U13 boys in an end of season clash. After a tough match the boys finished marginally ahead. Despite the result it was not all plain sailing for the lads. At half time there was nothing between the teams. The girls had made most of the play and were unlucky not to have held the lead at the change. The start of the second half saw the boys get some early points, and despite constant pressure the girls were unable to make up the deficit. Great credit is due to both teams who gave it 100 % for the game and it was played with the sportsmanship and determination that they have showed all season. U14s Camogie Management team: Pauric Hennessy, Noel Stokes, Siobhan O Gorman & Claire Hewitt. U13s - Management team for the game Rory O'Connor, John Ryan, Oran Connors from the U14 squad. Full time management team - Mike Ryan, Mike Mckeogh, Larry McGrath & Odran Floyd.
Ref - Peter Coleman and First Aid - Christine Hennessy
